We’re a couple of geeks who started our life together in Silicon Valley in California. In 2003, we decided to move to a farm in rural Indiana.
While still working in the tech industry, we began a journey that involved raising dairy goats, sheep, turkeys, ducks, rabbits, pigs, and geese, as well as growing most of our own vegetables in a massive garden.
Somewhere along the way, we started this podcast. It chronicles our experiences and adventures on the farm, as well as our passion for all things geeky. One of the best things about the podcast is the Farm Phone (call 202-206-GOAT to leave a message for us to play on the show!).
In late 2009, we moved across the world to Brisbane, Australia. The podcast topics have changed, but it’s still going strong. We like to talk about Australia, what it’s like to live in a foreign country, and what city life is like after so many years on a farm.
You can still call the Farm Phone to ask questions about Australia, farming, gardening, or whatever strikes your fancy. If we don’t know the answer, other listeners will! Just call 202-206-GOAT! If you’re outside the US, add a +1.
