Good luck driving in the dry if you ever leave the UK. ;)

Chickens can be a lot of fun, and it shouldn&#039;t be too hard to build a fox proof run.  We have a few foxes out here and they haven&#039;t been a problem yet.  Know on wood.  The eggs are soo much better than what you get at the store, they are actually yellow.</description>

We have foxes here, just south west of Glasgow (One of the rural farm kids I was teaching a few years ago offered to get his dad come shoot the fox that I was waxing lyrical about...), so we would need to fox-proof the run. We are going to wait and see what happens re bird flu (&#039;cos I don&#039;t want to freak my neighbours out and then have to get rid of the hens) and hope that maybe next year we can get 2 0r 3. And I would love a few alpaca - but that really is a non-starter.
